Check with your state's National Guard - most, if not all, have a foundation for assisting returning vets.

The best thing you can do for us veterans is demand that your congressman fund the VA enough to do their job.

I personally support / donate to: Wounded Warrior Project; Breast Cancer Walks (American Cancer Society); and various other causes, but typically for survivor support.
