Scarab Sages

Hello, Does anyone know for sure that if you Polymorph or Beast Shape, Or A Dark Tapestry Oracle's ( Many forms revelation ) Do you lose any of your Super Natural abilities such as Cloak of Darkness and Peirce the Veil?

To my knowledge, you only lose such abilities if they are based on your natural form. Most class abilities function independently of form however, so I think you keep them.

Thanks Ravin, Thats what I thought too.

Ive just had 1 GM say that my Oracle Revelations don't function but my curse apparently does. I mean they are pretty much the hand in hand correct? you cant have one not function and the other does.

The curse is intended to be pretty much impossible to bypass.

Revelations should only be prevented from working if they are form-dependent, as Ravingdork stated. What constitutes "form-dependent" is largely a matter of table variation, but most oracle revelations ought to be fine.

Edit: Using the examples in the polymorph subschool text, I could see a reasonable argument for not allowing "pierce the veil", as it's in line with the listed examples of form-dependent abilities ("keen senses, scent, and darkvision"). However, I would still not call it form-dependent since the ability is granted by a class feature rather than something inherent to the race--the list examples assume that the abilities in question are inherent to the creature's form rather than granted by its class or some other non-form-specific ability. Your mileage my vary.

it depends on if it's based on your physical form or not. Also you're able to activate shape changing after you've changed, like a sorcerer growing claws.

Alright, so in the end it should be fine, well minus pierce the veil, since its not something that you activate that I can understand a little more...(sigh) so confusing.
