Hey, I was wondering if there was a feat a class could take that grants channel energy. I'm entering a level 1 game in a couple months, and I was wondering if it was possible to roll an arcanist that gains the feature through a Multiclass feat, or something similar.
I know there's an archetype that allows for Cure spells, but it replaces a ton of exploits, and at our level would probably reduce me to having to save most/all my reservoir for healing, rather than anything neat. Thanks!

Technically speaking, one does exist, but it will likely not be sufficient for your purposes. It's honestly not very good.
Some orc adepts enjoy a greater connection to their gods, and can channel their faith through their unholy symbols. You gain the ability to channel energy as a cleric.
Prerequisites: Ability to cast divine spells, summon familiar class ability, caster level 4th, Cha 13.
Benefit: You gain the channel energy class feature, as a cleric, usable 2 times per day. This ability otherwise functions like the cleric’s channel energy ability, except that your effective cleric level is equal to your divine spellcasting class level –3. Unlike a cleric, however, the number of times per day you may channel energy is not affected by your Charisma modifier.
Anyway, good luck with your character. Hope you find some cool alternative. Maybe someone else has an idea?

Well, after doing some searching, I probably should retract that advice!
It looks like the summon familiar class ability is from the Adept NPC class.
Summon Familiar: At 2nd level, an adept can call a familiar, just as a wizard can using the arcane bond ability.
So I guess this feat is not actually meant for PCs. Even more odd than I initially thought.
Sorry team! Hahaha
Some discussion on it here.

Well, PCs can play an Adept, so I don't know that I agree with your assessment on who could use the feat (Flavor text is not RAW - though at times it is in PFS).
The real issue is, who other than an Adept could use such a feat optimally. It would have to be a divine casting class, that does not already channel, that gets a familiar and that at least partially operates off of Cha.
I was just wondering if someone knew off-hand of a class that fits these criteria. I did not feel like researching it.
Heck, I am having a hard time thinking of a divine class that gets a familiar (Cha aside)
Anyway, such a class could definitely benefit

The shaman could take it.
Edit: as could the druid with a familiar granting domain, or any other divine caster with Eldritch Heritage: Arcane to gain a familiar.
Edit the second: Or any Arcane class with a familiar and the Nature Magic feat.

You could also gain Turn or Control undead as an arcanist by using school understanding exploit for necromancy.
True. I actually did take the School Understanding exploit, though I went for Metal instead (+2 to AC w metal skin as a standard ). Ultimately I was hoping for more healing than turning.
I don't suppose there's any feats or traits that give anything like Cure Light Wounds?

You could go Samsaran for race, then use the Mystic Past Life race trait to add Cure Spells to your spell list (from Bard). I did this for Kingmaker because we had no healer in the group, but I have to warn you that it isn't very good as it's hard to heal a bunch of martials using cure spells only (versus channeling). At least you wouldn't have to use arcane points to cast cure spells. I took Leadership at level 7 and acquired a Oracle of Life as a cohort and that solved the healer problem.
If you plan to be a blaster, you might want to flip it and go with one of the Oracle builds, either an Oracle of Fire (Cure spells only), or a Life Oracle Spirit Guide with the Flame Spirit (Cure and Channel), or a Flame Oracle Spirit Guide with the Life Spirit (Cure and Channel), etc.
