A strike made with a two-handed weapon can push a similar sized opponent backward.
Prerequisites: Str 15, Power Attack, base attack bonus +1.
Benefit: When you hit a creature your size or smaller with a two-handed weapon attack modified by the Power Attack feat, you can choose to push the target 5 feet directly away from you instead of dealing the extra damage from Power Attack. If you score a critical hit, you can instead push the target 10 feet directly away from you. This movement does not provoke attacks of opportunities, and the target must end this move in a safe space it can stand in. You choose which effect to apply after the attack roll has been made, but before the damage is rolled.
What would happen if you tried to Pushing Assault someone through Difficult Terrain? Would it not work or work just fine?
Logic would say it would work just fine because difficult terrain is just uneven ground not air made of Jello-pudding. But I'm looking for RAW answers here.

RAI: it really depends on the type of difficult terrain, p.e. there is a distinctive differance between some jagged rocks and a 45degree incline on a glacier.
True that. My intention was to use the Variant Channeling: Earth ability to turn every square in a 30ft radius into difficult terrain, it doesn't really specify what kind of terrain it causes but it's pretty safe to assume, because it's Earth, that the ground becomes rocky and jagged.

I think if it's difficult terrain but it's not hazard terrain (IE shards of broken glass that do damage/stagger) it just works.
RAW: If it's "end this move in a safe space it can stand in" then it's ok.
Difficult terrain is definitely "Safe space to stand in".
RAI: Still probably ok because it seems the intent of that line is to prevent you from screaming "THIS IS SPARTA!" and hitting someone off the cliff, or into lava... or into something more dangerous like water.

Pushing assault works just fine over difficult terrain. Have fun worshippping Ayrzul, the only standard deity with the Earth Portfolio. Mildly repugnant deity, but tactically excellent for a reach cleric.

Nah I was gunna go with Fandarra, from Gods and Magic to grab up the plant(growth) domain for the swift enlarge so that I can enlarge and Earth Channel in the same first round. Then the second round just quaff an enlarge potion to stay enlarged the rest of the combat.
Though Fandarra is a giant deity I was planning on flavoring my character as having giant blood, hence the penchant for the enlarging.
