Why would she? She's a medium creature, with a 5' reach. A bastard sword is not a reach weapon.

She does not have reach. All she gets from using the honking large blade is the increased damage die and a -2 to hit. (which she offsets by raging)

Amira hits harder for the price of hitting less often.

In Pathfinder, reach is based off the size of the creature making the attack, not the size of the weapon they wield.

Oh a couple or ranks of UMD with a wand of lead blades and that large sword will hit realllly hard^^
