Why do shamans have the spell Greater Hex Glyph? They don't get major hexes, right? Am I missing something?
Wondered the same thing, maybe a witch can "cast" a hex into it.

Well, the DC for the hex in a hex glyph is based on the spell, not your hex DC, so a greater hex glyph would have a higher DC. It would be harder to spot as well, and harder to disarm.
True, you could get both these effects with Heighten Spell and regular old hex glyph, but having the greater version on the Shaman's list saves them from having to use the feat.
Okay, thanks. I thought maybe there was a chance I was misreading it and the spell let you copy the effect of a witch's major hex. But it looks like I was reading it correctly.
It's a shame shamans don't get any major hexes, but I guess you have to give something up for getting 3/4 BAB and medium armor.
