Eating an Illithid?

Homebrew and House Rules

So.... they suck out our brain for benefit, do we get the same in return if we consume their brain? (this is just for fun btw. we killed one in battle today and thought, "hey we should eat it! who doesn't love some callimari?")

1 person marked this as a favorite.

in Pathfinder, once you eat an Illithid you become different, your feats only appear every 3 levels, you can't sneak undead or construct, all your rage power stop working and clerics can suddenly wear heavy armor.
When you then still continue to eat illithids you slowly fade away into another realm, a forgotten realm.

I have only 3 questions for the DM.

Was it tasty?
I wonder if a good Illithid brain stew or soup sells for a lot?
and
What kind of cool spells could be created with illithid brain as a material component?

You would gain no benefit because an illithid's biology is set up to be effected from eating yummy tasty brains, nom nom. Unless you have some illithid lineage then neither would you.

It might only be tasty if you have some hot melted butter or some other dipping sauce. I don't even think it would taste like callimari because illithids are not aquatic beings, although we all love making that joke.

Win.

More like escargot, then? (Only terrestrial mollusk I could think of that's commonly eaten; so sue me.)

In Soviet Russia, brain eats you.

This was the first thought that came into my mind after seeing the thread title.

In Post-Soviet Russia brains knock you unconscious with chloroform and sell you on the black market!

Imagine the fun of trying to sell an illithid as a slave or some such?

Ah the pure and utter Chaos that would ensue... Sounds FUN!!!!

Kill some "Skum" (ie Deep Ones) to go with that for some "Fish Fingers"
