Rage Power Question

Advice

Beast Totem, Lesser
When Raging, the Barbarian gains 2 claw attacks.

Are these attacks in addition to his/her normal attack? Example, he would get two claw attacks AND his swing with his 2-Handed Weapon on each attack he makes? What about attacks of opportunity?

No, the claw attacks would not be in addition to his 2-handed weapon. In fact, if he is holding the 2-handed weapon in one hand then that hand wouldn't be free to make a claw attack (as it would be busy being wrapped around the hilt of the weapon).

Attacks of opportunity while Raging could be made with one of those claws.

Not technically true. You can choose to forgo your attacks with a two handed weapon to make the attacks with the claws. This is most noticed when you have a reach weapon (eg. long spear) equipped. Claws would allow you to attack while in an adjacent square to your target.

You cannot however make attacks with the claws and a two handed weapon in the same action.

The rage power makes you grow claws. You still need a place to grow them, which is the hands (on the feet they would be called talons). You get to use each hand for a weapon once, so you get to "weapon in one hand/claw", "claw/claw", or "two-handed weapon". This is all assuming a standard race with two hands.

2H weapon? No. The 2H weapon takes up his hands, which the claws also require.

Attacks of Opportunity? Yes, if he uses a Free action to take one hand off his sword.

In addition to his normal attacks if he's using a weapon that doesn't use his hands (like Armor Spikes or a Blade Boot)? Yes, as Secondary natural attacks (-5 to-hit, 1/2 Str and Power Attack to damage). Likewise he could use a 1H weapon in one hand and also make one claw attack.

This is ignoring potential cheese like Greatsword attacks ---> Free action remove grip ---> Claw --->Resume grip ---> ungrip other hand ---> Claw which the vast majority of GMs will go "Lolno" to.

I suppose you could use them with a dancing/flying weapon.
