Ok guys and gals, i am sure this has been asked many times as a quick search shows many other threads dealing with the same topic. My problem is that i cannot seem to find one that actually gives a definitive answer to the question "Does a familiar gain feats other than their starting ones?"
It seems that the rules MAY be read that they do, if you really really want to read it that way BUT as far as i can tell any common sense reading of the rules kinda almost make it seem like they don't.
This being Pathfinder SOCIETY, in which my limited experience makes me think rules questions should be black and white, is there a definitive answer to this?
So long story short 2 questions.
1) Do familiars gain feats in line with thier HD progression? (which as far as i can tell RAW says they don't actually get)
2) Can you swap out there starting feats as per animal archive? (I think that is the name of the book, i do not have it.

This should be on the rules forum as I doubt PFS has any specific rules for it.
Here's my opinions
1) No, familiars don't get additional feats beyond the ones listed at their base stats.
2) I don't have animal archive but assuming the feats are on page 18-19 of that book, they are legal and therefore you can take them. From my reading though, you can only do that when you first acquire a new familiar, so if your wizard( or other class ) is beyond level 1, you'd have to perform a ritual costing 200GP*wizard level( or take the improved familiar feat yourself) to be able to replace your familiar's feats
