Feral Zombie CR?

Advice

Hi all,

I'm playing around with a custom built zombie for a home-brew game and wanted to get some feedback. Can anybody help with suggesting a CR for this guy? My goal is a very fast mobile zombie trading some of the toughness for speed.

Sovereign Court

so it gets rend, pounce and two additional attacks when it full attack? CR 2 or 3. Granted a pc fighting them at level 1 is most likely dead (average damage of 24) on a full attack.

On a pounce, they get a bite and four claw attacks and a rend?

It doesn't fit very well into the CR system because it's such a glass cannon. If you're within pouncing range, you could easily take 20-30 damage (especially if you have a low AC), which will bring down even a level 3-4 character.

On the other hand, their low hit points and AC and lack of DR means that even a level 1 fighter will probably kill one solo on his first attack.

Thanks guys. I appreciate the feedback. I think I need to loose either the rend or the pounce. Like Matthew says, it's a bit unbalanced as built. I want to trim this down to a CR1 or 2 so I can throw a few at my group (APL 5).
