Helping a friend roll a PFS Hunter-Stat Question

Greetings!

We are rolling an Elven Hunter for PFS play and had a question regarding Archery and the to-hit and damage bonus. I know a Hunter would use the DEX bonus to hit, and generally STR bonus for damage, but is there a way to use the DEX bonus on damage instead? We are trying to determine if we need to pump the STR or we can not focus on it as much.

She plans on playing an archer with a wolf pet.

There isn't a way (that I know of) to get dex to damage for bows. The Str bonus only applies if you have the appropriate strength rating on your bow. I believe if you went evangelist of erastil you eventually can add your wisdom to damage, but I don't think it kicks in in time for PFS.

Does that mean a Hunter receives no Bonus Damage? (or am I reading your statement incorrectly). If so, seems to make STR a dump stat for a ranged Hunter.
