Cloak of uniformity.

Homebrew and House Rules

Robe of uniformity
60,000 gp
moderate transmutation* see description
A robe of uniformity appears as a very baggy robe large gloves boots and a metal mask, the cloak and mask can have any appearance the creator wishes, although the default is a red cloak and a mask depicting an androgynous human.

The effects of the cloak happen when the wearer has both the mask on and the robe's hood up. At this point the wearer immediately takes up the physical stature the creator intended. However if that involves a change in size category the character will appear that size but gain experience no change in ability scores. Similarly the user will have their weapons appear to be of the size appropriate for their visage, but they will do the damage based on their true size. Large or larger creature may not use a cloak of uniformity.

Default
Indeterminate gender
Indeterminate race
5 foot 8 inches
medium build.

The robe will also appear constrict to seeming skin tight upon the wearer, hiding all armor and anything the user is carrying on his person. The items are treated as being in an extradimensional space while the robe's power is in effect. The wearer may retrieve their items with the usual amount of time required, but will appear to produce the item from thin air.
In addition the wearer's voice changes to what the creator intended, default is an androgynous voice lacking any inflection or accent. The wearer also ceases to produce any scent, although the scent of things on the wearer are not negated.
People wearing robes from the same "set" are completely indistinguishable by the five mundane senses, and are treated as under a nondetection spell as well. Viewing a user with truesight will show the user's true physique and true voice, though the mask and robe will still cover him.
People wearing robes from the same set can distinguish between one another, although this does not allow them to see the other's true physique or recognize them outside of the robe.

What do you guys think of my magic item. I'd like some balancing help if you don't mind.

I like the flavor and the concept of what you have, but I think you are grossly overpricing this.

You are essentially offering Disguise Self (it affects you and your gear) which you can have at will for 1,200 gold and Nondetection, a third level spell, and a weaker version of Negate Aroma, a 1st level Ranger spell, and Vocal Alteration, another 1st level spell for the price of 60,000 gold.

I would pump up what it does some more (maybe it defeats Truesight?) or lower the price... I'm not sure what would be a fair price for it considering that there are plenty of worthless items in the Paizo line with similar price tags to this, so they really aren't good for comparison if you want an item players will choose to purchase.

I was thinking something along the lines of maybe making it so that this is the price for a set of four robes, but thought that would be underpricing it.

Do you think that would be a good idea?

A Negate Aroma item would be 2000gp.
A Vocal Alteration item would be 5400gp.
Hat of disguise is 1800gp.
Ring of Mind Shielding is 8000gp.
Bag, Handy Haversack is 2000gp
8000+ 1.5(1800+2000+5400+2000)= 24,800gp

However since the Vocal Alteration and Disguise is set I would lower the price. Negate Aroma is modified so a alteration on price again.

Negate Aroma - Can still be affected by outside scents, just can't be tracked. +1250gp
Vocal Alteration - Set voice. +2800gp
Hat of Disguise - Set appearance. +900gp
Ring of Mind Shielding - Full price - 8000gp
Bag, Handy Haversack - Item used as baseline price for storage/recovery - 2000gp.

8000+1.5(1250+2800+900+2000)=18,425gp
--------
For a "Lesser Version"
Just make it a Robe/Cloak that makes the character appearance indeterminate. Drop the mind shielding and extra dimensional space.
Negate Aroma 1250gp
Vocal Alteration - 2800gp
Disguise - 900
Mask Dweomer - 1000gp
---Adding Mask Dweomer prevents the item from being detected by detect magic (but not arcane sight).

2800+1.5(1250+900+1000)=7,525gp. Item would be useful for blending into a crowd. Something a spy might wear but not something the master assassin would wear.
--Take a Pathfinder Pouch to hide item incriminating objects in and your spy is ready to go.

You make a good point splendor.
Revision
24,000 GP
80,000 for a set of 4

Additionally when the wearer dies his body and robe are disintegrated, leaving only the metal mask. The mask may be used in place of the body for resurrection purposes or to speak with the dead.

Resurrection in this manner will resurrect the person in a full set of robes.

The disintegrate idea is very cool; I'm assuming it would also make your gear inaccessible to the one who murdered you as it was tied to the robe, but you would have it all back when resurrected?

I'm actually kinda iffy on that point, I'd like to have the items still be available, but then again if any of the items could tell you who the guy was then the robe has failed, and the items logically are still inside the extradimensional space.

Ehh.... I'll go with what you suggested.

It's a weaker, in some ways, version of my mask of humanity. The idea of it being keyed to an individual identity is cool.
1: Vendetta. It looks like some nobleman with angular features with a pencil thin mustache. The voice is ironic English. Smells of burned flesh.
2: Oogler worshipper robes. The face looks like one big eye and the voice sounds hollow and mysterious.

Are vendetta and oogler examples of your mask of humanity or variants of my robe of uniformity?

Also I'd like to clarify that the people wearing this would not look like say a nobleman, they'd look like a guy wearing a nobleman mask. The robes alter their physique, or silhouette if you prefer, but they are still visibly wearing the cloak.

They are versions of your device, and vendetta is a mask, looks like a mask, ect.
The mask of humanity physically changes the wearer costing more and disables a harpy's (or whatever) claw attacks and ability to fly.

Ok cool, thanks for the clarification, I actually really like your variants. If you don't mind me asking, why is it called vendetta?

Edit: Wow!!! I'm sorry. It took me a second to get that reference.
