Yes I know I'm making quit a fool out of myself here ;) and no Thelemic, english isn't my first language. Just saying : kick him out gently. It would suck to be him.

Edit:
Although I still suspect the player to have more serieus issues I have to admit the autistic post was wrong and I should stop defending it.

If I was such a toxic person as to be constantly rejected by the extremely tolerant PnP RPG crowd, that would suck.

I know plenty of people on the autism spectrum who manage to play D&D/Pathfinder without cheating. In fact, that describes about a third of my immediate family.

No reason to bring mental health issues into something without a confirmed diagnosis from a professional.

We used to have a cheater in one of my groups.

Bold faced lied about it, when confronted about it.

Not autistic.

Just a creepy liar, who smelled like a sweaty pig anus filled with old cheese, that eventually left state, after trying to make out with my sleeping sister.

Some people, are just terrible people.

There is a problem with recording a conversation if the other party doesn't know about it. In the US, many states have laws making that illegal.
And yet, YouTube exists.

I don't follow. What does YouTube have to do with recording conversations without a person's knowledge?

That's like saying "And yet, television exists." Most people on television (or YouTube) are aware they are being recorded. And if they weren't they could take legal action in many states. Heck, if their reputation was damaged due to the public display of the recordings, they could take action for libel and/or slander (provided that the recording misrepresents the truth).

YouTube is where stuff like "Epic Beard Man" and "Imma Pressin Charges!" comes from. It's a different world.

Theoretically, they could take legal action, but the way the Internet works makes that impossible in practice. Use two foreign proxies (especially ones that don't keep logs) between start point and end point and the red tape becomes miles thicker with just a few minutes of typing.

Most of what you think about is on youtube is either consenting, or in public where you don't have presumed privacy, or copyrighted. The average person or company just submits a takedown notice, but usually won't sue (though police departments have gone after people who post video of police in Illinois and Maryland in public. Though the law was finally overturned in the IL Supreme Court).

But if it's a private conversation (even among 5-6 people) or inside, that is another matter, and can pretty easily be shown to violate the law in two party consent states. Of course, showing you were harmed and getting something out of it is another matter entirely.

Yes, you can't scour the entire internet to remove all instances of a recording, but that is not what people were saying. Just that in a two party consent state, if you record a conversation with someone, you are violating the law. AND then if you try to actually use it, you run the risk of being prosecuted for blackmail in addition to wiretapping. But as I said I've really only heard of criminal charges when you record police.

And we're in a country where people actually record themselves committing crimes and share it, not brainiacs who use multiple proxies to hide their identities :)

Civil lawsuits , though ... crazy people sue. I let a former significant other keep over $1K that was stolen from me, on the advice of 2 different lawyers. Far better to lose a little than have psychos after you. even if I'd eventually win, do you need the headache? For me it was no.

I just want to thank everyone for their advice it really helped alot and after much deliberation I sent the player a text to tell him that he was banned and why however he showed up to the game anyways because his phone was not active at the time I sent it so I ended up doing it in person it conversation stayed civil and we were able to part ways without any hard feelings

Good on you and great to hear it resolved without incident.

That's great to hear, Mhart7707.

In 37 years of gaming, I've banned four players for various versions of being an unrepentant jerk. It was always an uncomfortable thing to do, and something to which (in all but one case) I gave long and deliberate consideration before acting. But I have never regretted doing so and my game was always better afterwards.
