I agree - Mumble's voice quality is very good, better than Ventrilo, though I'd be more likely to call it not as good as TS3. Maybe that is a reflection on the servers I have been though, perhaps my experience is with the less impressive codecs.
But Nihimon has hit the nail on the head - I value usability very highly, because trying to get a player unused to such things to login to TS3 is hard enough. For mumble, it is practically impossible.
Ventrilo hasn't changed appreciably since the days of Call of Duty 2, so there's that.

I found these instructions, but not sure what to do next.
If you want to test it out by yourself, scroll all the way to the bottom of the game list file, and you will see a block that looks like this:
<ID>9999999</ID>
<GameTitle>Dummy Game For Testing</GameTitle>
<ProcessNames>
<string>ExeThatShouldNeverBeFound_OW.exe</string>
</ProcessNames>
<LuancherNames>
<string>LauncherThatShouldNeverBeFound_OW.exe</string>
</LuancherNames>
<GameRenderers>D3D9</GameRenderers>
<InjectionDecision>Supported</InjectionDecision>
<LauncherDirectoryRegistryKey>HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\SOFTWARE\Valve\Steam \InstallPath</LauncherDirectoryRegistryKey>
<XPSupport>NotSupported</XPSupport>
<Input>DInput8</Input>
<FixDIFocus>true</FixDIFocus>
<FixRCEx>True</FixRCEx>
<UseMH>True</UseMH>
You need to change the following:
Dummy Game For Testing - Replace this text with the name of your game.
ExeThatShouldNeverBeFound_OW.exe - Replace with the name that appears in the task manager Process page that' associated with your game.
LauncherThatShouldNeverBeFound_OW.exe - Replace with the name of the launcher (sf2,exe for example).
HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\SOFTWARE\Valve\Steam\InstallPath - Change to the path that goes to your game in the registry. This is not the C:\.
If filled out correctly, that "might" give you proper support for your game. It also might not and could cause crashes. Do this at your own risk.

Ah, yes, thank you. I didn't mean to be unclear.
PFO installed itself, on my machine at least, to run windowed as default, so I still have access to all my other windows via the taskbar. I meant only that I was using Alt-Tab to switch among them, and that was indeed bound to cause confusion.
I knew folks were asking for solutions that didn't involve switching windows, and my question was really "why does one need to avoid switching windows?"

Kadere wrote:Any problems with it? I'm dissatisfied with my Razer Lycosa.My personal solution to this problem is a Logitech G19 keyboard, with a little screen on it that can display the sort of info that Overwolf overlays.
Obviously not a viable solution for everyone, but I love it.
Not particularly. The logitech software that runs the backlighting, macros and screen's apps are suitably lightweight, and in terms of reliability it has been pretty good. My spacebar lost a lot of its tactile push recently (still works, but it doesn't rebound quite right), but I've owned it for 6+ years at this point so that seems fair.
One point to note though - it does need its own power socket. I /think/ it operates as a keyboard without it, but you will get zero fanciness without the power cable.
Most major chat programs ship with an applet that interfaces with the screen, though you usually need to dig through the options to turn it on. Not too many other options beyond stock, and most 3rd party stuff is built to be G15 compatible (black and white + smaller display space).
