Hey guys,
Ive come into possesion of a Dhampir boon and wanted him to be a Shaman, being my first new PC from the ACG. Also, they're the only ones getting acces to this feat:
Spiritual Guardian
Your spiritual guardians are more powerful than those
of most others.
Prerequisites:
Ability to cast spiritual weapon or spiritual
ally, spirit magic† class feature.
Benefit:
Whenever you cast spiritual weapon, spiritual
ally, or a similar spell that grants you a spiritual guardian,
that guardian uses your shaman level instead of your
base attack bonus to determine its base attack bonus,
potentially granting it multiple attacks. Additionally, it
gains a +2 bonus on caster level checks to overcome spell
resistance as well as on damage rolls.
He's focused on one spell: Spiritual weapon. It's kind of a complex spell, but the idea is to have 5-9 of them flying in the air all at once around level 11, modified by quicken spell, dazing spell and other metamagics, effectively granting me something around 15-27 attacks each round at 100ft distance (more if his crown of swords has proc'd). The Wayang spellhunter and Magical Lineage traits will help me do this at spell level 4/5.
Now my question is, in order to cheese this even more, I could take the Vortex Spells hex from the Wind spirit (even though the rest of the wind spirit boons are kind of useless because of my 7 CHA):
Vortex Spells (Su):
Whenever the shaman confirms a critical hit against an opponent with a spell, the target is staggered for 1 round. At 11th level, the duration increases to 1d4 rounds.
OR I could keep things civilized and go Speaker for the Past archetype in combination with the Lore spirit and grant my party +20 knowledge checks on the 6 most important knowledge skills- ALL THE TIME.
I'm leaning towards Vortex spells, simply because the 19-20 threat range on longswords will allow me to stagger quite often... but on the other hand, makes him alot let useful on a skill-basis.
What do you think?

The spell summons 1 weapon, and at 11 Bab it would get 3 attacks, but the final attack will rarely hit. With quicken you get a second weapon...how do you get up too 5? With 3 prep rounds or more? Also using quicken and other metas will take some high lvl spell slots, even with the pair of traits.
I also wonder how looking for more cheese and being civilized are in the same context here. But in answer too your question....If you could manage to get this wall of swords going, I like the idea of the vortex spells. Nice flavor if you can get it too work.

That's what I thought too, the idea of 'summoning' a storm of swords appeals to me greatly. And yes, it will require some high level spell slots; echoing spell and some items might help keep room for other spells.
I'm assuming 4 rounds of combat, of which 3 are spent casting and one buffing. This won't be every fight, of course, but the potential is there.
I ment civilized as in not 100% focused on one thing :-)
All in all I think I might take Wind spirit AND the Speaker for the Past archetype, losing this:
Benefit of Wisdom (Ex): The shaman relies on wisdom
rather than intellect to gain and retain knowledge. She
can use her Wisdom modifier instead of her Intelligence
modifier on all Intelligence-based skill checks.
as well as my spirit animal and wandering spirit..
but gaining 2 oracle revelatons and a bunch of fun class skills.

Depending on what can be a "spiritual guardian" you could take the Lore hex Arcane Enlightenment to learn Twilight Knife. Though you would have to not dump charisma.
Toppling spell might be a good metamagic to use as well seeing as spiritual weapon (and Twilight Knife) are force effects. Even if twilight knife doesn't get the bonus from spiritual guardian it would fit with the weapon summoning theme and fits in the 3rd level spell slot.

Let me guess, you'll pick up Time Hop at 12 and Ancestral Weapon at 4?
Nope, PFS so lvl 12 was never in my thought. As for lvl 4 I think I'll take aging touch or something similar, I like having a strong option for those niche situations (especially seeing the amount of constructs in season 6 PFS).

I'm pretty sure the feat specifically calls out for Spiritual weapon and Spiritual Ally. I've thought about taking toppling spell, but it will be fairly useless in later levels. I might consider taking it then retraining though.
