Dwarven Swashbuckler FCB

Rules Questions

Swashbuckler: Add +1/4 to the swashbuckler's effective class level to determine the extra damage she deals because of the precise strike deed when wielding a light pick or a heavy pick. If the swashbuckler has the Slashing Grace feat or another similar effect, she can treat the battleaxe or handaxe as a one-handed piercing melee weapon, and she gains this benefit when wielding the appropriate weapon for the feat as well.

Aside from the damage bonus, WTF does this ability actually do?

Liberty's Edge

Uh...nothing. But it's potentially a damage bonus to all attacks you ever make. That's better than many FCBs.

I don't know what slashing grace does, and can't find it on pfsrd. I believe the answer is there, or this is something that sloped through editorial.

Slashing Grace (among other things) lets a Swashbuckler use Precise Strike with a Slashing weapon. So...that's in there because Dwarves should be good with axes, but you need a Feat to use an axe with Precise Strike.

But if you have Slashing Grace you can already do the precision damage with an axe.

Right...but the increased damage from the FCB is weapon-specific.

For example, an 8th level Dwarven Swashbuckler who's used this FCB can add +10 damage from Precise Strike (when using an axe or pick only) rather than +8 like other Swashbucklers.
