Multi-Session Adventures

I'm wondering whether it's legal to run all modules over multiple days, or just the ones that have multiple Chronicle sheets and the option for 'campaign mode', like The Dragon's Demand and Tears at Bitter Manor. I ask because the Guide to Organized Play makes no distinction, but I've never seen the 32-page modules run except over the course of one day. I'm considering the possibility of starting Pathfinder Society as a club at my high school, but those are limited to about two hours, so there's no chance of finishing a scenario in that time (unless you can divide those up, which I'm pretty sure you can't). I figured I could run modules after finishing some of the shorter stuff, so I'm just checking that all sanctioned modules can be played over multiple sessions. Please let me know if I'm incorrect in this. Thanks.

I've played several modules over the course of three sessions. The only issue is keeping track of who played when for the chronicle sheets. Playing the full module gets 3 experience and up to 4 prestige, while those who only participate for a single session get 1 experience and perhaps 1 prestige.

Another thing to keep in mind is this will lock the characters to this adventure until it is finished. Meaning they can not play that character in another PFS game in between sessions of the module.

I would probably advise the players to create new characters if they were interested in joining the rest of the community we have here. Thanks for the replies.

You can split up scenarios, too, if necessary. It's not the ideal way to play, but it can be done. If you can get your players to commit to being there for both halves of the adventure, you could 2 hours at a time at your school, during 2 sessions.

Sovereign Court

You can? That's good to know.

That's essentially what people are doing whenever they do play-by-post on the internet. They're just splitting it into much smaller chunks, played out in a longer time frame.

PFS doesn't have any rule saying you must complete an adventure in a session. I've played split adventures with modules several times, and I think we considered it with a scenario that was taking forever once, but ended up just staying longer. We kinda split the session, though - we took a break for dinner, then came back.
