I don't see why this has everyone so frazzled. Meet the new boss, same as the old boss.
Two reasons come to mind immediately (and I recognize that others may have their own):
1) I'm the OCD type of PFSer that puts my entire character online. Gear, feats, favorite quotes, you name it. I even link everything to either the PRD or Archives of Nethys. All of my 20 characters are online.
Having the wrong Faction Logo, and having games reported under the wrong Faction, is super annoying.
2) Despite my love of PFS and my respect for Campaign Management, this rollout seems half-hearted and last minute. To me, it would have been perfect to have the new Logos available by the time the last of the Faction blogs was released. AND at least a few weeks before GenCon. Give players time to update their profiles. But here we are, a month later, and still nothing.
I just think the ball was dropped. But that's my personal opinion, and I recognize I'm not aware of everything that goes on behind the scenes.

I checked the blog and didn't see a mention of this issue. It's been about a month since my last post and still no update. Can anyone fill me in - did I miss something?
If not, is there an ETA to sync up the factions with the new guide? My character has played 2 sessions that are now ostensibly attributed under the legacy/closed faction (Andoran instead of Liberty's Edge) and will either have to change...or maybe I just go with Andoran because the new content is missing.
What does Paizo recommend as a solution for this issue?
Suggestion for Future Releases: To prevent user confusion and chaos, don't release until the entire product is in sync and ready to go. ;)

What does Paizo recommend as a solution for this issue?
To my knowledge, nobody from Paizo has responded to this question. And I do not believe they will, until the system is actually updated.
Although I love Paizo, and respect its employees, and their efforts, and am a devoted PFS GM, my personal belief is that they do not see this hiccup as a valid complaint, and therefore feel no need to address it.
It bugs the crap out of me, and a few others, but we are apparently just a vocal minority.
I've just had to settle with reporting scenarios incorrectly. The backlog that was piling up next to my computer was gathering dust.

Amen.
