Seeing results of GMs roll

Scarab Sages

Can a character get an ability to see the GMs d20 roll? Can a dual cursed oracle have that abili8ty for Misfortune?

The Exchange

No? Why would this be a thing?

The GM is under no obligation to show you their rolls. Most will for the majority of things but sometimes you just don't want to, and that can be for any number of reasons.

Oh, this has been hotly debated before specifically for Misfortune.

I roll things like attack rolls in the open anyway, so its not an issue when I run, but I know lots of GM's don't.

The best solution I saw last time this was brought up was talk with the gm and do "if an enemy rolls over a 17 on the dice I use misfortune if I have an immediate action and he's in range." or whatever number you choose. If he won't let you see the rolls this should do the trick. If he's reasonable this should not be an issue.

that's definitely a 'know your GM' issue - chocolate will work much better on me :)

Nope. And with misfortune you have to ask for the reroll before the results are revealed so you can tell the GM to make two rolls, but nothing is forcing him two let you see a roll before allowing you to make a decision.
