I need help building a Gunslinger

Advice

So yeah, it's been about a year since I played Pathfinder and have certainly never played a Gunslinger before. I had a vague plan but was hit with a GM decreed nerf on day one so now I need to shift gears and compensate. Advice on squeezing every ounce of viability out of this race/class would be appreciated.

Dwarf Gunslinger
Str 12, Dex 17, Con 16, Int 13, Wis 15, Cha 8.
I'm not looking to be a sneaky/hidey Dwarf Gunslinger. If anything my vision is more in line with a Dwarf Engineer from Warhammer.
My initial weapon is a pistol.
First feat is Rapid Reload (pistol).
I could also use two traits as well.
The campaign is Skull & Shackles (and I haven't read ahead).

Liberty's Edge

1 person marked this as a favorite.

There are some obvious feat choices: rapid shot, deadly aim, point blank shot and (possibly to a lesser extent, depending on how your party work together) precise shot.

Due to the GM nerf, any feat that assists me in resolving my attack to touch AC is useless.

Would a cross-classing with Fighter (and thus all the Fighter's feats) be more beneficial now? I was on the fence about cross-classing as it is the jack-of-all-trades syndrome, but now I need to get more out of the character (even thinking stopping Gunslinger at L3 and continuing on with Fighter or maybe even Rogue....
