So reading over the list of subtypes, certain ones are not listed as belonging to a particular creature type.
Subtypes with no type listed:
1) Dwarf
2) Elf
3) Gnome
4) Halfling
5) Human
6) Orc
7) Rakshasa
8) Vanara
9) Vishkanya
I know the ranger's favored enemy lists some of those as humanoid, but does that list allow them for legal choices for bane?

Well, 1-6 and 8-9 are all subtypes of Humanoid.
"Rakshasa", on the other hand, is not a subtype. "Native" is its subtype, and its type is "Outsider".
Rahshasas are no more a subtype of Outsider than a Horse is a subtype of Animal.
So, for things like bane effects, you'd choose "native outsider" and that would be good enough? Because as far as I know that would catch rakshasas, aasimars, tieflings and more... Is that correct?

Rakashasa is a creature subtype listed in Bestiary 3.
In none of the Bestiary books is humanoid listed in the subtype description for 1-6, 8, & 9. 1-6 aren't labeled as humanoid in the race description in the CRB either. Only on the ranger favored enemy list (and common sense) tells us 1-6 are. 8 & 9 are listed as humanoid in their ARG write-ups but not in any of the Bestiaries.

In none of the Bestiary books is humanoid listed in the subtype description for 1-6, 8, & 9.I think you're confusing terms. "Humanoid" is a "type", not a "subtype". Of course Humanoid won't be listed in the subtype description.
1-6 aren't labeled as humanoid in the race description in the CRB either.I'm on my phone, and at work, so I can't check them all right now, but in the Bestiary description of Orc they are listed as Humanoids.
/me just got bored and is pointing out weird rules loop holes.
If you know what the answer actually is, I don't see how there are any loopholes here. What do you mean?

Thomas LeBlanc, all the humanoid races got a writeup in the ARG. Look in the back and you'll find a listing for them with their RP totals. You'll see the subtypes listed for each one.
As for Rakashasa, you'll note that the Rakashasa in Bestiary 1 doesn't have the subtype (Bestiary). I'd suggest shapechanger or native if you wish get ALL Rakashasa for bane. That said, you could pick Rakashasa, it just will not hit all Rakashasa's. :)
