I am building a human monk which has an high ac.
Stats
Str 10
Dex 20
Cos 14
Int 10
Wis 18
Cha 8
With these stats and the crane style, at lvl 5 (the lvl i'll start this campaign at) is 27
10 + 5(dex) + 4(wis) + 1(monk bonus) + 1(dodge feat) + 4 for fighting defensively + 2(bracers of armor)
I'll go with weapon finesse and agile amulet of mighty fist to avoid that 10 str. Monk high saves and evasion, should make me avoid spells often, making me a solid tank.
i know i have not a good HD or an high COS, but i am not the tank of the party, so i should be fine.
What i am asking you is a suggestion on the feats to take, possibly to lvl 20, to make this monk deal a good amount of damage, especially against Monster with DR.

Your stats correspond to a 33 points buy, that seems quite a lot, did you roll them?
with these stats you should be fairly good. Not having power attack hurts a lot however. You could go master of maneuver and focus on dirty trick to have some utility outside of damage. You could look into the newly released ACG for the pummeling fist line of feat.

Did your GM say that you get 1:1 on the ability scores rather than that you are using point buy? With point buy, an ability score of 13 costs 3 points -- but an ability score of 14 costs 5 points, with the costs escalating beyond that point, until an ability score of 18 (pre-racial) costs 17 points.

I think he got this wrong, But i know he has always played this way. Anyway I'll tell him just to be sure. For what concerns the feats question, can you help me? I can only use core rulebook UC advanced player guide and ultimate magic, monk's feats till lvl 7 are occupied by the crane style's series.

hmm, these books mean you loose piranah strike, so no power attack equivalent for you.
Monk's get more then 3 feat before lvl 7, you realy should pick something on top of crane style.
Meybe combat reflexes, to focus on using that nice dex.
You could go combat reflexes, vicious stomp and the trip feat chain. Use a trip monk weapon in one hand (you dont need to use it for damage, only for trip attack)
