Hi, just started my first game (Brigandoom!)
Playing solo with 2 characters (Seoni and Seelah)
Seoni encounters Jubrayl Vhiski.
Seoni uses her first power (for your combat check, you may discard a card to roll your arcane die + 1d6 with the attack, fire, magic traits. This counts as playing a spell).
Now I want Seelah to use a Blessing of the Gods to boost the check die...
Which die do I add? A d4 because it is a Combat check and Seoni combat (strength is d4) or a d12 because Seoni changed the combat check with her power.
So (1d12+2) + (1d6) + (1d4) or (1d12+2) + (1d6) + (1d12) ?
Many thanks

Here is the "Attempting a check" sequence.
Attempting a Check
Determine which die you’re using.
Determine the difficulty.
Play cards and use powers that affect the check (optional).
Assemble your dice.
Attempt the roll.
Take damage if you fail a check to defeat a monster.
And here is the part about "Determine which die you're using."
Most monsters and some barriers call for a combat check. Weapons and many other cards that can be used during combat generally tell you what skill to use when you attempt a combat check; if you don’t play such a card, use your Strength or Melee skill.
Seoni's power tells you to roll "your arcane die", so it is "determining which die you're using". So that is the die you are using for the check. That die is a d12, so anything that adds "a die" will add that same die. So add a d12.
