Sundering a Dragon's Wings: can I do it?

Rules Questions

Real simple question. Can I use the Sunder combat maneuver to cut a dragon's wings off?

RAW there is no mechanic rule for cutting off an opponent's body parts.

Rules work both ways. Are you okay with a monster using the Sunder maneuver to cut your arm off?

I am going to go with no. Though i think the Dragon Slayer's Handbook has a feat in it where you can temporarily cripple a flying creature's wings.

Let's broaden the question a bit then. Can you sunder natural weapons, like you can for manufactured weapons?

Nosir. If it is part of a creature's body, it cannot be sundered. If it is equipment it can.

While you cannot sunder it, in Ultimate Combat, there are rules for called shots where you can cripple wings. Ask your GM about it and see if they are okay with it.

I sunder the adventurer's jugular vein. Its only got 3 hitpoints.

And if they have high enough cholesterol that it has appreciable hardness, your work is done anyway.

Liberty's Edge

HERE is a link to the Called Shot rule in Ultimate Combat.

Having used them, the Called Shots rule is pretty fun and useful. Also, I allow people to substitute a coup de grace attack to instead remove a limb or deal a Debilitating Blow. Very fun and flavorful and the PCs love it.
