Shield-Bash Brawler Build?

Advice

So I recently read about the Brawler archetype and upon looking further into them I decided one would be very fun to play as that sort of gruff veteran who talks a lot of smack and backs it up with really powerful smack(s).

On that note I want to make a 10th level Brawler, but I don't know what race to take, and what sort of feats would be best. I want to get up to Shield Master on that feat chain, and would like to get Stand Still early so he becomes very good at keeping enemies near him. Outside of that (if there are any left) I'm open to feat suggestions.

Core Concept is a Brawler in Full-Plate with a Light Steel Spiked Shield (Bashing and a decent enchantment bonus on it) who wields a Scizore on the other hand and has two brass (adamantine and cold iron) knuckles he can slip on if he doesn't have time to equip the scizore, or if he gets disarmed or whatever.

Any ideas? :)

Make him a Dwarf, give him 2 levels of Ranger(shield bash early without needing TWF/super high dex) and Mithril Full Plate, and you have just described my exact PFS character.

Use Cleave along with Shield Slam for free bullrushes (if you can push them into a wall/obstacle they fall prone as a bonus). Grab the Dwarf feats for cleave to anyone in reach not just adjacent. The bullrush/overrun racial trait instead of the steady. Steel soul and fortified drinker traits to shore up your will saves -> total of +5 vs mind affecting. (tell me constantly hitting a hip flask isn't in character for a grizzled veteran) Shield master comes from 6th level ranger, or 11th level character. Your choice which way. If you're a follower of Gorum, you can grab the Spiked Destroyer feat to get a free armor spikes attack (also a close weapon)on a successful bullrush (off the shield bash courtesy of shield slam)

I went ranger dip because this kind of veteran type character seems to always have a particular critter/race that they have a grudge against, and to pick up some skills as class skills that a seasoned veteran would have. (notably perception and stealth, even in heavy armor you should be trained)

2 Levels also doesn't slow down your feat progression, and since brawler starts their version of weapon training early, it balances well.

Grab an Adamatine Spiked Heavy Bashing shield for 2d6 damage, ignoring hardness for doors/constructs/animated objects. I also took a cold iron Scizore, and a Silver spiked Gauntlet for optional weapons.

Also look at adding impacting to the armor spikes

you cant grab shield mastery without ranger.... it need 2 weapon fighting.

Ranger, or Slayer dip is a good idea.
