Using prestige points for the first time

Liberty's Edge

I just played in a Pathfinder Society game for the first time (The Confirmation) and it was great. I have a question about using the prestige points. I now have 460 gp. I would like to purchase a masterwork composite longbow +4 for my Ranger. If I calculate it correctly, that would cost me 800gp (100gp - composite longbow, 300 - masterwork, and 400 - +4).

I see that I can use my 2 prestige points for "free purchase up to 750gp". My question is: can I use 50gp from my purse to reach the 800gp I need for the bow, or does it have to be a single, seperate purchase under 750gp because it is a special prestige thingy?

Thanks

Unfortunately, it would need to be a single, separate purchase. I would advise you to purchase a +3 bow with PP for now. Then, when you save up 3,000 gold, you can upgrade your bow to be magic, +1 adaptive, and it will modify it's +str bonus to your current strength, whatever it may be.

That becomes important when you are getting buffed and debuffed.

The Exchange

Also look into fame limit. dont have the chart in front of me but it limits how much you can spend on one item. this is bypassed by the PP though, so Keerawa idea is good.
