Also, Gotham was pretty cool. And the parts with Fish are no longer the only ones I fast-forward through!

Scarab Sages

But why do I have to wait until 17 March for the next Flash episode?!?

Scarab Sages

I don't often weep for the future of humanity, but when I do it's because some jackass has written something stupid, said something stupid, or done something stupid.

Scarab Sages

Actually, I've been weeping a lot more often these days.

Scarab Sages

It's also scary when I get the trifecta of written/said/done. Something which has also been occurring with greater frequency.

Scarab Sages

Sometimes, people just say stupid s*#!. For example....

flipping through radio stations this morning, I came across a DJ speaking about some news story, and saying such a thing was "so typical of 2015".

WTF? The second month of the year isn't even over yet! How the f~$* can you know what is and is not "typical" of this year.

F%~*ing stupid.

Scarab Sages

I could probably give plenty of other examples of the stupid s++@ people spew forth from their brains, but I really don't feel like wading into all the troll threads I've hidden around here.

Scarab Sages

Now me, I say stupid s~&~ all the time. Sometimes it's because I'm trying to get a laugh out of someone. Sometimes it's out of lack of knowledge. But at least I can own up it.

Scarab Sages

Not to mention, I have no problem saying "Sorry, that's my fault". There are way too many douchebags who refuse to take responsibility for anything.

Scarab Sages

Personally, I feel there are a lot of problems in this world that can be solved by a good b@%!+-slap and some brutal honesty.

Scarab Sages

Incidently, I try not to use the word b$!@@ that often. I've got no problem using it as a verb, but I tend to shy away from using it against women (although I'm not perfect in that regard). I do enjoy using it for dudes though.

Scarab Sages

And, yes, I do cuss like a sailor. I try to watch it around the kids, and while at work. Sometimes, though, "f*#~" is the only way to properly express your feelings about a situation.

Scarab Sages

I'm on a right good tear this morning. Not sure why. Maybe it's this yo-yo weather.

Scarab Sages

Or, maybe it's just the stupid m~**$@*&%%!$s I have to listen to/read every day.

Scarab Sages

F+$$ it. I bring joy and sunshine 9 days out of 10. I've earned some Grar time.

Scarab Sages

Did I mention my f!@#ing oil change light came on yesterday morning? F*&+! Now I have to drive with that s@~+ until at least Friday.

Scarab Sages

And I'm not even sure I'll have time that day either. I've got comic cubes being delivered sometime Friday, between 11 am and 4 pm.

Scarab Sages

Oh, look. Toys for little girls

Scarab Sages

Stoopid f@%$ing rain. Go away.

Do you need to go to the rant thread? In fact...I may head over their pretty soon I' e got one cooking since yesterday.

Scarab Sages

This is my rant thread.

Scarab Sages

It's how I cleanse my soul of frustration, thereby helping to maintain the safety of the human race.

Scarab Sages

Sometimes, I weep. Only on the inside.

Scarab Sages

Memories,
Light the corners of my mind
Misty water-colored memories
Of the way we were

Scattered pictures,
Of the smiles we left behind
Smiles we gave to one another
For the way we were

Can it be that it was all so simple then?
Or has time re-written every line?
If we had the chance to do it all again
Tell me, would we? Could we?

Memories, may be beautiful and yet
What's too painful to remember
We simply choose to forget
So it's the laughter
We will remember
Whenever we remember...
The way we were...
The way we were...

Poor baby girl.....

In the process of getting at least one new tooth.
Pink eye.
The beginnings of an ear infection.

Scarab Sages

At least we caught the ear infection at the beginning. Antibiotics should take care of it. The pink eye gets drops. The tooth - Tylenol.

Scarab Sages

So the wife is home with her this morning. I may have to leave work at lunch to go take her place, unless she can get out of or reschedule the meeting she's supposed to have this afternoon.

Scarab Sages

Thanks the gods, so far, the boy is fine.

Scarab Sages

Well, I guess that depends on your definition of the word "fine".

I was doing a bit of channel surfing last night, and caught on the Stallone Judge Dredd movie. So I fired up the bluray player and popped in the far superior Karl Urban Dredd.

Scarab Sages

Afterwards, I caught on the last half-hour or so of An American Werewolf in London.

Scarab Sages

Sometimes, it's interesting to see how things have gone since I've left. My typical conclusion....downhill.

Scarab Sages

On another note, I certainly don't miss winter. Although, if harsher winters are the new normal, I don't mind. For one, I don't get the worst of it living down south. For two, what we do get helps control the skeeters.

So, in essence, less skeeters + more northerners suffering winter's icy-er grasp = win!

Scarab Sages

Except for those freaks who actually like winter. For them, I wish tropical paradise.

Blue blue blue
Blue moon
You saw me standing alone
Without a dream in my heart
Without a love of my own

Blue blue blue moon
You knew just what I was there for
You heard me saying a prayer for
Someone I really could care for

And then suddenly appeared before me
The only one my arms could ever hold
I heard somebody whisper "Please adore me"
And when I looked
The moon had turned to gold

Blue moon
You saw me standing alone
Without a dream in my heart
Without a love of my own

And then suddenly appeared before me
The only one my arms could ever hold
I heard somebody whisper "Please adore me"
And when I looked
The moon had turned to gold

Blue moon
Now I'm no longer alone
Without a dream in my heart
Without a love of my own
Without a love of my own

I will say, however, there are occasions when I regret my departure from Philadelphia. Not about the weather - that sucked ass. And not about the city itself - that place was a crowded cesspool who's only saving grace was it's location between equally crowded, but far more successful, cesspools. Not even my job - while I loved working for the Navy, and helping out the men and women who serve, it was turning into a going nowhere type of government bureaucracy job that I despise.

What I miss most are my friends. These were the guys I gamed with. The guys I'd occasionally just hang out with. The guys I brewed and shared a love of beer with. Sadly, I don't have that down here.

I enjoy both movies, but the latter is far superior.

I wouldn't call it suffering....

Yes, my follow on comment was meant for you. Only in the most loving and caring way, of course.

Ever since I first saw Dredd, I can no longer bring myself to watch the Stallone version.

Scarab Sages

I should really go do something productive.

Aaaaand....that is why I left. Too much of that crap going on, poisoning my digital karma. And it's only gotten worse since.

Scarab Sages

Also:

Mmmmm.....fajitas!

Scarab Sages

Today, my comic cubes should arrive. I look forward to finally having part of my collection in something other than comic boxes.

Scarab Sages

Apparently, testicle theft is a thing now. They can go for $10K - not sure if that's per or for the set. The radio report didn't say. When they took callers, asking if they'd be willing to sell, the second dude's response was classic:

"I'd have to get them back from my wife, first."

Scarab Sages

And, oh hey! Didn't take too long for the douchebags to start waxing eloquent about yet another troll subject. Not surprised at who started the one poisoning the Off-topic section.

And here I keep making the mistake of thinking this sight is for gaming and general weirdness.

Scarab Sages

But enough negative energy. Got to stay positive and happy. They hate that.

Scarab Sages

Re-watched the Dark Knight Returns animated film last night - parts 1 & 2. While not perfect, it was a pretty awesome adaptation of one of my favorite Batman stories ever.

And I only just realized that Frank Welker provided the voice of a minor character. I heard the character speak and thought "Whoa! That sounds a lot like Freddy Jones."

Scarab Sages

Because Frank Welker is awesome!
