Hello all.
I'm new to the Pathfinder Society and I had a question about registering my character.
Background: I went to CONvergence (Sci-fi convention in MN) last weekend and played pathfinder. While playing I was given a character number and a "Paizo player #". I am trying to register on the site but it appears that I also need a confirmation number as well which I do NOT have. It's only one scenario that I played so it's not a huge loss if it is lost forever but I am curious if there is a way to register this information.
The FAQ didn't seem to help on this subject.

Did you get given a card or slip of paper that had the Pathfinder Society logo on it, with a 'Pathfinder #' at the top and a 'Confirmation Code' at the bottom? That confirmation code is what you need.
If you did not get a card, then it looks like the GM made an error. I would get in contact with a local regional coordinator to try and get it sorted out, giving the details from your chronicle sheet (event code, your PFS number and the GM's, etc.).

I am new to playing PFS. I was looking on the forum and couldn't find this info.
I decided to reply to this so as to keep the "new to pathfinder society" thread minimal instead of generating a new one.
My question is...
I created a level 1 character following all the PFS guide. While it says to pick a faction, and I've registered the character with that faction.
I notice that my society ID still says Grand Lodge. Is the ID for my account separate from the character faction?
I am creating the character as I will be attending my first Gen Con in August. So I'm trying to get my character prepared for gaming and fixing mistakes before I get there.
Thank you for any replies.

This is a great question. The answer is yes. The faction that appears on your PFS card is separate from your character's faction.

Thanks Paz. The GM gave me a character number and a "paizo player #" and that was it. The character number is 7 digits and the paizo player # is 6-7 characters (numbers and letters). That's all I got so it looks like I don't have the necessary info. Oh well, it is what it is.
Thanks again!

Your player number doesn't have letters in it; I think that's the registration code you're looking at. Your player number should be 6 digits (I think we're in the 130,000s or 140,000s at this point), and your character number is just your player number with a "-1" after it for your first character (-2 for the second, -3 for the third, and so on).

Try using the "player #" as the confirmation number - it sounds like it's the right format, and there is no separate player # - your character # is your player # plus -1, -2 etc (123456-1, 123456-2).
...and RDN's ID says it all (though it's not raining here)

Try using the paizo player number as the confirmation code. The only two numbers you should have for pfs are 12345 for a player number and 12345-1 for your first character 12345 for your second etc.

The "paizo player number" you have described sounds like the confirmation code you are seeking. The 7 digit number you were given was your PFS number and the addition of a -x (x=number of character) makes it your character number. I hope this clears things up and allows you to register.
