Theodum bowed in front of the large northern warrior who was at least one head taller - and twice his weight. A proud fighter - displaced in his own lands - he had set out with his family to find his luck in the River Kingdoms.
"I welcome the Haggarssons to the Emerald Lodge. These are dangerous areas and difficult times. We are glad you have accepted our gifts and have decided to settle with us.
There should be a lot that both groups can gain from each other. We will ensure to reserve some area of the settlement for your training needs. I hope there will be some Pathfinders training with you as we need some strong adventurers to defend ourselves against monsters roaming the area and to fight them whenever we explore hidden treasures.
I also hope that having found a settlement will ensure that more like minded strong men and women will join your ranks to further strengthen the Emerald Lodge.
This is a great day - a day we should celebrate. I have ordered 2 boars to be roasted. A large cask of beer is ready. Lets enjoy the night and make plans tomorrow when there is still enough time to meet up with everyone."
Theodum stepped back - time for festivities. A smile was on his face. This was a good day. Every settler seemed to be fought after by the different settlement. Gaining a whole family of strong fighters was indeed a reason to celebrate. And maybe more would follow the example.
Clapping one massive hand down on to the smaller mans shoulder, Vali laughed softly, turning to gesture at the rest of his family. "You honour us with your friendship brother Theodum. We are glad to be a part of this settlement!" He gestured one of the younger Haggarssons forward and held out his hands, taking the two drinking horns from the boy, before forcing one in to Theodums hand.
"A toast, for prosperity for all. May we prosper!" He downed the horn in one, wiping th excess drops of beer from his beard, before clapping Theodum on the back once more. "Tomorrow is a new day, a bright day for us all!"
