Contingency with Dimension Door used wrong?

Rules Questions

Can someone who has Contingency setup with Dimension Door have the following occur:

A.
Monster and caster in a dungeon.
Monster attacks caster.
Contingency goes off.
Caster is Dimensioned Doored.
The player can place its character anywhere she/he wants in the dungeon that she/he has seen or does see or been to as long as it is within range of Dimension Door spell.

Or is it supposed to be like this

B.
Monster and caster in a dungeon.
Monster attacks caster.
Contingency goes off.
Caster is Dimensioned Doored.
The player can place its character only in a predetermined direction and distance. The predetermination was determined when dimension door was attached to contingency earlier. Such as Dimension Door backwards 30 feet.

Or is there a different way Contingency with Dimension Door should work?

Variables, like the target location for a Dimension Door, are always chosen when you cast the spell. In the case of Contingency, the contingent spell is cast at the same time Contingency is cast. Therefore all variables would be chosen then, not when the spell comes into effect.

TLDR; Option B.

Should be B by rules, though.. I believe that you could specify "20feet behind me" or something similiar to that.
Now this might put him into a wall, which I believe by teleport like spells standards (teleport, gate, and DDoor I think work this way) that if you end up somewhere you can't be, your shuntted off to the nearest stable place and you take damage.
