Does that mean both can be used at the same time?

I had to ask. We are playing a mythic game, and my Ranger has Rapid Shot and Manyshot, Mythic Manyshot, and Distant Barrage.

Basically if he stands still and spends a mythic surge; he's throwing 6 arrows down range, every round. Top it off its a composite longbow with the ability to add frost burst to the arrows..

Well...

Each arrow is delivering 1D6+2 +1d6 Frost damage. So a max of 6D6+12 + 6d6 Frost if everything hits.

Now combine that with Deadly Aim, I do love that feat so

Ouch, i have now found a way to make a crossbowman enemy even more deadly.
The casters in the party (3 out of 5) won't be pleased. ^^

If you pick up a Composite Longbow (1d8), instead of a Composite Shortbow (which it sounds like you have now), and cast Gravity Bow, your arrows will each deal 2d6 instead of 1d6.

Only if they are using the rapid reload feat with a light/hand crossbow. Otherwise they can't load the bolts fast enough.

Point is this specific npc is a semi-boss and i'd like it to fire two times per round with a light repeater. It's supposed to be a ranged type making the light crossbow as lethal as possible on lvl 4 fighter.

What's to stop the GM from making double crossbows? It is possible, we have the technology

Is this double crossbow going to remain a simple weapon or be made Exotic?

If it's Exotic, then unless the Exotic Weapon Proficiency grants the ability to use Manyshot with the Double Crossbow without the Manyshot feat (and counts as Manyshot for purpose of proficiencies, and can be taken in place of Manyshot by classes with Manyshot as a bonus feat) then crossbows essentially have to take ANOTHER feat in addition to those bows take, in addition to Rapid Reload
