I will be running a melee Inquisitor of Erastil in a kingmaker campaign thats starting up, and I am looking for some advice on my 4th and 8th level attribute boosts. Some background, I am taking the Animal(Feather) domain and may be the only melee character, so survivability is somewhat of a concern.
I ended up with high stats overall, allocated as follows:
Str: 18+2(half-orc) = 20
Dex: 13
Con: 15
Int: 12
Wis: 17
Cha: 8
My current plan is to put the lvl 4 bump into con and the lvl 8 bump into dex, gaining +1 AC (1 feat), +1 Reflex (1/2 feat), +1 Init (1/4 feat), +1 hp/lvl (+1 feat), +1 Fort(1/2 feat) (3.25 feats total) versus +1 attack (1 feat) and +1.5 damage (.75 feat) (1.75 total). Am I overthinking this and should go straight strength, or is this really the better option.

It's not that your over thinking its a matter of your not thinking as it applies to what you want or need. If your the only front man then you need HP so go con. If you going heavy armor down the road then keep your dex where it is. Ur wisdom improves initiative as well as spells, saves, skills, and so on. Unless u have a compelling reason that you didn't share bump wisdom at 4 and then decide 8 when you get there. Remember that in deep levels equipment can adjust stats also.
