Sovereign Court

So I'm throwing a blaster sorcerer together. Cross-blooded Orc/Draconic. Traits are magical lineage and metamagic master. At level 8 if I get my caster level to 12, (Spell Specialization Fireball, Mage Tattoo, Trait) and apply Metamagic Master and Magical Lineage...

Can I make an Empowered, Intensified Fireball for total cost +1? And have it be 1.5*(12d6 + 24) (extra damage from bloodlines)?

Sovereign Court

The goal is not to reduce Fireball below a 3rd level spell, but rather cumulatively affect the total modifier. Does it work this way?

Yes, if you pour your entire build into one spell, you can be really good at that spell. It isn't as awesome as you might think--especially if that spell is fireball. But it can be fun for a while.

Well to further min-max, it one may take Elemental bloodline instead of Orc. Then just pick a rare element to optionally substitute it in. Maybe acid or cold. Granted it has scaling issues at high level, but hey.

Incidentally, magi are so notorious for doing this with shocking grasp that over half the magus builds I've ever seen do this. It speaks to a flaw in the concept's design that almost turns me off to ever playing a magus--though I have made some NPC magi that don't use this sort of thing.

Side note: there is no such thing as "Metamagic Master". d20pfsrd had to change the name of "Wayang Spellhunter" to avoid copyright issues.

Just in case you were planning on playing this in PFS =)

These are kind of like the two-handed Fighters of the Arcane classes. "I run up and swing my Greatsword at it!"

Over, and over, and over, and over...
