Feat Choices for a 3rd Level Blight Druid

Advice

Franchisee - Game Kastle College Park

I'm starting as a character in a new homebrew campaign on Sunday.

Homebrew setting:
It's set in a world where there used to be enough water to call it a marsh, but about 6 years ago it dried up and no one knows why. Pathfinder pantheon adopted for ease into the setting--except the church of Abadar is very monotheistic "my way or the highway" and other religions are persecuted. Magic users and elves are also persecuted, and there are no elves left in the setting (at least as PC races) though there are some half-elves.

I've decided to play a blight druid.

Backstory:
My character initially enjoyed a connection to Gozreh, but one night while dreaming was visited by a vision of Feronia who told him that as long as the land was cursed he would be as well. She told him that only when he had purified the land by death and decay of its rot would his former life return. When he awoke, his previously beautiful face had sprouted boils and pustules and everywhere he walked plant life shriveled.

We start at 3rd Level and I'm trying to figure out good feat choices as well as a familiar choice. As racial feats I've got Skill Focus (Perception) and Exotic Weapon proficiency (bastard sword for Feronia). I'd like to delay taking Natural Spell until level 5. My druid's very melee combat focused.

I'm also debating between having a familiar (since blight druids don't get companions) and taking the death domain. If a familiar, I'm leaning towards a vulture, but I'm not sure what stats best fit that--the vulture bestiary entry seems too powerful while the bird familiar (hawk, eagle, etc.) seems too weak.

As yet unnamed Blight Druid:

30 Pt. Buy (29 used)
STR 15
DEX 14
CON 16
INT 12
WIS 15+2 (half-elf)
CHA 8

Nature's Bond: Vulture familiar OR Death domain

Homebrew Half-Elf Attributes: +2 Perception, low-light vision, 2 favored classes, Skill Focus (TBD), Exotic Weapon Proficiency (bastard sword)

Feats (2): TBD

Scarab Sages

Why not a Greensting Scorpion familiar? It can't fly, but a Scorpion is very thematic for a death/disease focused character, and the initiative bonus is fantastic.
