Ultimate Psionics - some questions

I have some Ultimate Psionics I wondered if someone could assist with as my DM is now allowing Psionics :)

1) Soulbolt -If a Soulbolt takes Emulate Ranged Weapon bladeskill, does the Mindbolt actually take the shape of a ranged weapon such as a Longbow with the bolt on a bow or does the Mindbolt still appear as a regular Mindbolt but just has the characteristics of a Longbow arrow?

2) Fighter's Blade feat - If a 3rd lvl Soulbolt takes this feat, is she considered 7th lvl for the Enhanced Blade ability so she would get a Enhanced Blade of +3 which is has a Maximum Enhancement bonus of +2 so the other +1 would go toward a Weapon special ability? Am I reading that correctly

3) Elocater's Spatial Awareness - If a Soulbolt took the Elocater prestige class, would they also get the +2 attack bonus/dmg bonus if they used their ranged Mindbolt with the Spatial Awareness ability? or is it only for melee?

4) Armored Blade archtype - does the Mind armor weigh just as much as the regular version of the armor would weigh?

5) Soulbolt - The Soulbolt looses the ability to make any melee version of their mindblade unless they take Mind Daggers bladeskill correct?

6) Close Range Expert bladeskill - If an enemy comes into melee range for a Soulbolt, this bladeskill allows the Soulbolt to use their mindbolt on an enemy that is adjacent to them in melee without an AoO?

When in doubt, assume the actual shape of a mindblade (or mindbolt, in this case) is purely cosmetic, so if you took Emulate Ranged Weapon (Repeating Crossbow), just use the stats for the Repeating Crossbow, just have it take any form you want. Just don't go overboard and claim it looks like a longsword :P

You missed the last sentence on that feat :) It's mostly for multiclassing, so a lvl3 Soulknife with the feat would have a +1 Mind Blade, and both a lvl7 Soulknife and a Soulknife3/Fighter4 would have a +3 Mind Blade (maximum enchantment +2).

Nothing in Spatial Awareness calls out melee specifically, but remember you can't flank with a ranged weapon (odd combo aside).

"Light form is treated in all ways (except visually) as a masterwork chain shirt". Same for medium/heavy armor. Seems a bit ridiculous armor made out of pure energy would have a weight, but apparently it does *shrug*

Correct. Remember, Soulknives (even Soulbolts) are proficient in all simple weapons and only the short-range form of the Mind Bolt requires two hands, so nothing stops you from having a backup melee weapon on hand :)

As long as you are psionically focused, correct.

It may be made of energy, but just as the mind blade is a "semi-solid weapon composed of psychic energy", so too is the mind armor - it's semi-solid.

And your mind blade / mind bolt can look like whatever you want, so long as it reflects the nature of the weapon. You could emulate a longbow and have it look like a rainbow firing swordfish if you wanted. :)

I am a HUGE psionics fan since 2nd edition D&D. The Psion has always been my favorite class. My DM is finally allowing Psionics & he got a copy of Ultimate Psionics now too. :)

I was thinking of making a nomad/Soulbow/Elocater so just wanted to get some info before I rolled up the character.

There is a difference between weightless and negligible weight, there are several things in the game that have some weight but no appreciable weight in terms of game mechanics. Others have a weight in various quantities but not individually.

Mind blade having no listed weight is likely a oversight. I'd say that RAI is that the mind blade is the same weight as a typical weapon of that weapon size category.

Yeah... in 3.5, it weighed the same as a short sword, " The blade is identical in all ways (except visually) to a short sword of a size appropriate for its wielder."

I'll have to see about an appropriate errata for that, given the different options.
