Question: Can you use combine the Taunt and Enforcer feats to make a free Bluff check to demoralize your target?

================================================================

Taunt provides that you can use Bluff in place of Intimidate.

Benefit: You can demoralize opponents using Bluff rather than Intimidate (see the Intimidate skill description for details) and take no skill check penalty for being smaller than your target.

Enforcer allows you to use a free action to "make an Intimidate check to demoralize your target".

Benefit: Whenever you deal nonlethal damage with a melee weapon, you can make an Intimidate check to demoralize your target as a free action. If you are successful, the target is shaken for a number of rounds equal to the damage dealt. If your attack was a critical hit, your target is frightened for 1 round with a successful Intimidate check, as well as being shaken for a number of rounds equal to the damage dealt.

Both feats appear in Advanced Player's Guide on pages 159 and 174, respectively

Please FAQ.

Is there an argument against being able to do so?

Seems pretty clear, one substitutes Bluff for Intimidate when demoralizing opponents. The other grants a demoralize attempt in certain circumstances.

Grand Lodge

Ah. Do bonuses to Bluff, or Intimidate, apply if using the Taunt feat?

Sczarni

I am under the assumption it would work much like Versatile Performance. You get the bonuses etc. of the skill you are actually using. Bluff ranks, Cha, Bluff bonuses etc. Bonuses to Intimidate would NOT apply because you are not using Intimidate.

Grand Lodge

Ah, but some things provide a bonus exclusively to Demoralize.

Sczarni

Taunt reads "demoralize opponents using Bluff", so I would add demoralize specific bonuses to the Bluff roll, since you are demoralizing using bluff.

Liberty's Edge

Bonuses to bluff apply, bonuses to intimidate do not.
As it is a demoralise attempt, bonuses to "demoralise" would apply, but bonuses to "intimidate while demoralising" would not apply.

Grand Lodge

If an ability, or feat allows for a free "Intimidate to Demoralize", would you be able to use the feat to Bluff to Demoralize?

Sczarni

Yes
