Hello everyone,
I like a link to one of the messages.
I have a ranger to roll up.
I have 25 points to buy with.
I am going with a dual wielding ranger.
I will have 3 feats for the first level. "there is a reason for 3 feat"
I need ideas for 3 traits.
Should I focus on dex?
Half-elf is the race
Any help please
Thank you

If you're going ranger, you have str and dex switched.
Ranger can ignore the dex requirement, so unless you plan to finesse light weapons (which is even more subpar) you should go ...
Str 17(15 +2) Dex 14 Con 14 Int 10 Wis 14 Cha 10... leaving you with 3 more points to either get Int/Cha 11 and something else to 15 for raising later, or int/cha 13, or Str 18.

As a ranger TWF the better option is to maximize STR and let DEX lag, other classes need the DEX to qualify for the TWF feats but rangers don't, and DEX adds less than STR does. All DEX is likely to give you is AC (which can be obtained by wearing heavier armor) and a bonus to your already strong reflex save.
If you can go drow blooded for the SLA I'd suggest arcane strike for a feat, but it's not that big a deal. I'd go power attack & weapon focus - those are important. If making a DEX build combat reflexes is a nice thing to have and toughness is always a good choice for front liners.

Are you set on going Elf for some reason? It's really not very good for this type of build.
Your much better off being a human with the following stat breakdown:
Strength 19 (buy 17, +2 human choice)
Dex 14
Con 14
Int 12
Wis 12
Charisma 8
You might also low strength and int to 16 and 10 for buy cost and raise con to 16 for more durability.
Also, where the hell are you getting 3 feats? A normal first level character gets 1. A first level human character gets 2. A first level human fighter would get 3. So, you have too many feats.
Ranger allows you to ignore the the prerequisite for two weapon fighting feats like the dex requirement, and pumping dex is mostly not worth it. You should focus on strength and con over dex.

Personally, if I'm going to do a dual wield ranger, I'm doing kukri+large shield for the late feats that grant free shield attacks when you crit.
You should grab all your TWF feats with your ranger style so you don't need to ever invest in dex. It's much better ability economy that way:
Ranger1 Power Attack, Improved Shield Bash (you said three feats?)
Ranger2 Ranger Style: TWF
Ranger3 Combat Reflexes
Ranger4
Ranger5 Improved Bull Rush
Ranger6 Ranger Style: ITWF
Ranger7 Shield Slam
Ranger8
Ranger9 Greater Bull Rush
Ranger10 Ranger Style: TWRend
Ranger11 Shield Master
Ranger12
Ranger13 Bashing Finish
Ranger14 Ranger Style: GTWF
Ranger15 anything
Ranger16
Ranger17 anything
I'd probably go 18(20)/14/14/10/12/7 for stats. You can move combat reflexes around as needed, just have it before you get greater bull rush. You said three feats at first but Im not sure if that included your racial skill focus feat. If you arent going to bull rush I'd chase down the eldritch heritage line for a something you might find helpful.

I'd drop wisdom a little as well. I'd rather have more int. I would go
Str 18 (16+2 racial), dex 13, con 14, int 14, wis 12, cha 10
Feats:
1st Weapon Focus, Exotic Weapon prof: Wakizashi, Toughness
2nd (ranger) 2 weapon fighting
3rd ?? dodge maybe?
5th Outflank
6th (Ranger) improve 2 weapon fighting
7th Boon Companion (see if you can take this at 1 and always have an AC)
9th critical focus, then just keep taking critical feats.
A/C Wolf (effective druid levels)
1 Combat Reflexes
2 Power Attack
5 Improved Natural Weapon (bite)
8 Outflank
10 Vital Strike
13 ??
16 ??
18 Imroved Vital strike
If Wakitazashi is too far fetched for your character main hand a scimitar and off hand a kukri (taking weapon focus for both). The key is that 18-20 crit range. Out flank at level 8 will auto confirm your criticals and allow your wolf to get a swing every time you crit. So, Power attack and improved natural weapon as well as vital strikes are there to improve damage as much as possible. As you increase in levels some more add critical feats so that when you crit your opponent you also debuff them.
edit, oh take an archetype on your animal companion that gets rid of multiattack. It's terrible for him. All it effectively does is turn his bite into adding 1X str instead of 1.5 times str (and power attack).

I disagree with scimitar/kukri since the scimitar does only one more point of damage on average than the kukri, you're better off using two kukri and saving the second weapon focus feat. There are much more powerful choices to make with feats than that.
Also, if I wasnt going weapon/shield, I'd investigate a double weapon so you can 2h it when you're only single attacking, especially for your AOOs.

Totally fair. Antagonize looks like it would be a good feat for a 2 weapon fighter. You don't want to have to move around the battlefield so make them come to you.
I didn't see a double weapon with a 18-20 threat.
2. Ancestral Arms
Looks like Wakizashi it is.
