Does Holy Tactician's Battlefield Presence ability work with Lookout?
The issue is this clause in battlefield presence:
"This ability does not function if the paladin is flat-footed or unconscious."
If I've shared Lookout with my party, how do we determine surprise?
Possible thoughts:
1. No one is flat footed before combat, so we all get to use Lookout.
2. We're always flat footed before combat. But if I get to go in the surprise round (without relying on an ally without Lookout,) when I become un-flatfooted, everyone gets Lookout and can act at my initiative-1.
3. Were always flat footed before combat, so no one else gets Lookout and we're sad.
4. Something else?
