So, my players are awesome and one of them is considering picking up some pawns for our upcoming Shattered Star game to help share the costs around.

I know there's a pawn set for Shattered Star, so that's an obvious purchase, but which of the Bestiary set(s) would folks suggest to round that out?

All of them (1,2,3).
Oh and shattered star pawns is surprising lacking.

Bummer. I knew they didn't have a lot of stuff overlapping from the Bestiary boxes, but wasn't sure how much else they might be missing.

Most of the missing ones are from book 3 but even there are stuff missing from other bestiary boxes (more from bestiary box 2 and 3).

they list every monster in the shattered star pawn set on the product page

Yeah, I guess it'd figure that Asylum Stone would miss out. Lots of weird monsters in that one.

That helps, but I don't have a good list of monsters that appear in the AP to compare it to. Identifying the gaps is always the hard part :/

I am currently running shattered star (now at book 5) and i own bestiary 1 box and bestiary 2 box, and only recently i have ordered bestiary 3 box (it hasn't arrived yet), and i would like to change my previous statement (about bestiary 2 box and 3).
There were more times that i used the bestiary 1 box than bestiary 2 box and there were certainly more times that i wished i had not waited to buy bestiary 3 box.

She doesn't, no. She's holding off on that one until we start Shattered Star, probably around August, because she isn't planning to page through that one (because she really hates spoilers).

She just picked up the original Bestiary Box last night and is planning to get 3 next based on your advice up thread.
