Does Forbiddance block all teleportation?

Rules Questions

Sovereign Court

Or does it only block the spell? SRD seems a big vague on this. Have one player that seems to think Shift would work since it isn't a spell but rather Supernatural ability.

SRD on Forbiddance.

"Forbiddance seals an area against all planar travel into or within it. This includes all teleportation spells (such as dimension door and teleport), plane shifting, astral travel, ethereal travel, and all summoning spells."

SRD on Teleportation spells:

"Anything that blocks astral travel also blocks teleportation"

Since Forbiddance specifically blocks D-door, I'm really tempted to go either way on this one. What say you, rules lawyers?

The intent is pretty clear :)

The rules, too, actually: Since "Teleportation is instantaneous travel through the Astral Plane", and forbiddance specifically disallows astral travel, it doesn't matter whether you use a spell or an ability to teleport; forbiddance will block it.

Silver Crusade

It's a form of planar travel that functions like the spells (dimension door) described. In spirit of the spell as well as letter of the spell, I'd rule it blocks since it is a form of planar travel. Note that "supernatural" abilities by definition are still "magical." Although they cannot be "countered" by traditional means, they are still subject to being suppressed or negated by other spells (the example given is anti-magic field, but Forbiddance is a prime example as well).

Scarab Sages

Forbiddance blocks all planar travel. It does not matter is the source is a spell, spell like ability or supernatural ability.

The list of things blocked given after the first sentence are examples, not an all inclusive list.
