You can see other people's rolls. What you are seeing is rolls that the player doesn't know the result of... like when you roll stealth or perception. You don't know how good or bad you did, so we drop them in that tower on the bottom right hand side. It hides it from us, but the GM gets to see it. That way we still do the rolling but only the GM sees it. It's like if you're at the table and the GM rolls for you.
If you look at some of the later sessions you'll see combat and our rolls are visible to all.
