Hello my fellow Pathfinders!
I currently have a player who is artfully playing a Spell Dancer and he asked about the Enduring Blade Magus Arcana and how it would work, if at all, with his spell dance ability since he doesn't enhance his weapon.
This is the wording of the arcana:
"Whenever the magus enchants his weapon using his arcane pool, he may spend 1 additional point from his arcane pool to increase the duration to 1 minute per magus level."
Now based on this description I don't think this would work as it is specific in that it works "whenever the magus enchants his weapon using his arcane pool".
I am inclined though to let it work in a modified way just because I can think of a few ways it could be fun and fair.
Any thoughts or suggestions on this will be very appreciated. Thank you in advance, and happy pathfinding!
I agree that normally the arcana would not apply due to the Spell Dancer removing the magus ability to enchant his weapon. You could change the title of the arcana to Enduring Dance Arcana or something similar.
I would suggest finding following the baseline of the arcana wording and put that towards the primary aspect of the Spell Dance. For extra leveling powers of the Spell Dance, perhaps extend it for a number of round equal to the magus' Int modifier perhaps?

As written, it would do nothing, just like if a fighter archetype that loses weapon training puts on Gloves of Dueling for example. You can houserule it however you like.
