Alright I know that Half-Elves and Half-Orcs were ruled to count as both races and use feats, archetypes, spells, etc. that list the parent race as a prerequisite and that a Human with Racial Heritage can do the same.
Using search I could only find threads asking the basic question if they could before it was corrected that they could, but I'd like to know what limitations there are for PFS.
I know Half-Orcs can't be scarred witch doctors since nothing from the Orcs section of the ARG is legal, but say could a human with racial heritage Dwarf take the Dwarf favored class bonus for barbarians?

My understanding is basically racial heritage doesn't work. Half-elves and Half-orcs cannot take feats, archetypes, spells of their parent race. There is one exception which is FCB's. They may take FCB's from their parent races (except Orcs since nothing from Orcs is legal). I hope they revisit this, because with the plethora of outsider pcs it'd be nice to see some reason to start playing core races again.

so, to clarify, if an Aasimar with Scion of Humanity takes the Racial Heritage feat (Elf), they can qualify for elf-only feats?
what about Half-elf only feats?
But only the Elf feats that are not explicitly elven only according to the Additional Resources (I.E. the feats in the Advanced Race Guide)
As far as half elf feats, you would count as both human and elf, but from my understanding not half elf.

This. It is bad enough that every NPC in PFS is human, but pretty much every PC is either Human or Tiefling. I want some racial diversity, dagnabit!

A couple books (but most notably the Advanced Race Guide) have what is colloquially called a "Race Restriction". It's stated in the Additional Resources document, but basically your character must actually *be* of a particular race in order to select any of its race-specific options. Racial Heritage won't help you.
So, no Aasimar Stonelord Paladins, for example.
That doesn't mean the feat is useless, but you are more limited in what options you can choose with it.
