RotRL trait & Enlarge Person

Scarab Sages

Am I correct in assuming that the bonuses of 'Big Game Hunter/Giant Killer' feat (+1 atk, +2 dam to large/larger creatures-BGH, or Giants-GK) from RotRL is negated if the target is 'Enlarged' from Medium to Large?

I reckon it is, as you are now the same size as the creature you had training against, instead of being a tiny, petty mortal (paraphrasing Thor!) but would still work if you're Large vs Huge or bigger....

For Big Game Hunter, it seems like that would negate of they were both Large. For Giant Killer, it states one size Larger or Smaller. I assume if they were both the same Size that would negate too.

I feel you're in the right of things for RAW.

Big Game Hunter, no. Giant Killer, yes.

Big Game Hunter specifies only that a creature is Large or Larger. Despite your growth, that doesn't affect the enemies size.

Giant Killer, however, states "your additional attacks can be made against creatures one size category larger than you or smaller". So if YOU grow, the available targets for that feat change.

At least, that's how I read it.

TBH I think we're right... as you're now the same size... the traits state:

Big Game Hunter
You are experienced in fighting the gigantic
creatures that stalk Varisia’s landscape.
Benefit: You gain a +1 bonus on attack rolls
and a +2 bonus on weapon damage rolls against Large
or larger creatures.

Giant Slayer: ..... You gain a +1
trait bonus on Bluff, Perception, and Sense Motive
checks and +1 trait bonus on attack rolls and damage
rolls against creatures of the giant subtype.

So.... Giant SLAYER (my bad) only works against gaints and giant subtypes was this a 'post playtest' edit?... :(

Both traits have pro's and con's I 'spose :)
