I have seen several guides on the forms that can be assumed in Bestiaries 1-3 and their combat effectiveness, and they have all been very useful in helping me design and build my druid. However, I have yet to see any information for Bestiary 4.
I was wondering if anyone has a guide for the forms obtainable in Bestiary 4 and any and all reviews of their effectiveness.

I feel you pain as a wood oracle enthusiast. There are some nice additions in B4 though. I do like saguaroi. They have regeneration and are humanoid plants, so you can use weapons instead of the slams if you choose (and the GM allows). There is also the mi-go, who have very nice resistances, and who doesn't like taking the form of a Lovecraftian horror?

Unfortunately with the mi-go you cannot fly (unless your GM houserules it). You are basically getting a 30' move speed land form with 4 claw attacks that do 1d4+grab and resistance to Cold, Electricity, and Fire.
He wouldn't even get the resistances until Level 10 either, when your Wild Shape functions as Plant Shape 2. Notr very many great options for plant shifting at early levels, imo.

The question about wood oracle, would you gain your bonus with wood weapons with a plant's natural attacks?
Also a big fan at 10th as an Aasimar wood oracle going into saguaroi form with regen and popping shield other on your party. Since the damage can't kill you they could carry your unconscious body around while the whole party takes half damage for the rest of the adventure.

Plant shape I for a Weed whip - 3 15ft reach attacks with poison based off of your Con that nauseates = awesome.
As wildship functions like beastshape the DCs of poisons and such are calculated off your wisdom. Per RAW.
The DC for any of these abilities equals your DC for the polymorph spell used to change you into that form.
For wildshape this means wis + the spell level of the beast shape it mimics.
Personally I like con, and allow either one.
EDIT: I mention beast shape while your example is a plant. The logic is similar for plant shape or elemental body etc.
