I used to love that game but now it just looks incredibly boring. And the poor Elf looks so boring. All he ever does is shoot a bow and I don't even think he ever KILLS anyone with it save for one enemy while everyone else is killing dozens ...

Do you have experience with the game Misery or is all that just from the trailer? To me it looks like it has potential to be better than diablo 3 but I couldnt think much lower of D3 so thats not saying much.

It's looks worse than the remakes they put out 10 years ago for PS2. And no "Warrior needs food, BADLY!"? Really?

Just from ther trailer it reminds me of 'Sanctum of Slime' and that is not a good thing. If I hear good things about the finished game, I will probably give it a try, but the trailer makes me wary rather then hopeful.

No word on console play? I love the look of the wizard. Would have loved my wizrd from Diablo 3 to have looked like that. Remake of Gauntlet on PS2 was awful and this looks 10x better than that

Kinda looks like a mix between original Gauntlet and Dark Legacy. It's almost like they lifted the cancelled Gauntlet DS project and ported it to... whatever they're releasing it on. But, I don't care, I LOVE Gauntlet! So yeah... I'll probably still buy it. Also, it can't be worse than Seven Sorrows! That game blew hardcore.

Not sure if this game can make it in a world with Diablo3 already holding peoples attention. But if they delay to the end of the year they might do better. By then people will be tired of the Diablo3 expansion.

@aranna I think you are right. I really dont get the appeal of D3 I thought it was a total snooze fest. Hopefully Gauntlet will be more interesting for me.

The same could be said when Legends and Dark Legacy came out in the late '90s/early '00s. There were better games out there already, but Gauntlet handles mindless violence and hack 'n' slash like no other.

I love the jumping over part and it appears it is just for the one character. i hope this comes out for consoles

If you watch, the jumping is only at one special square. You can jump from that square to cross a pit, but you can't jump anywhere else. It's really terrible game design imo.

The graphics looks good and it's got nice particle effects on the attacks, but 1, There shouldn't be particle effects for non-magical attacks imo, and 2, the locked top down perspective while a throwback to the original game really makes the 3d models of the characters and the monsters look off.

I like gauntlet and will probably give this a try if it goes on a massive sale on steam, but I don't see anything in the trailer that would make me pay full price for this.
