Gunslinger Mobster Archetype?

Homebrew and House Rules

So, I've got a character who wants to play a gnome mobster in an upcoming game. Although a tad unconventional, this works for my campaign setting, which includes mid-level technology and a gnomish country that is very much like a country-sized Las Vegas, operated by a corrupt presidency whose strings are pulled by criminal organizations.

Although I'm 100% confident in both his and my ability to handle this character concept thematically, mechanically we are at a bit of a roadblock. There isn't anything that fits precisely who he wants to be--less of a hit man and more of the kind of guy who does jobs for the higher ups, who is a smooth talker and usually uses his slick wit and clever tongue to avoid a fight. However, he's handy with a firearm and can pull his ass out of the fire in a pinch if need be. I like to think he's very Jules Winnfield-inspired. He's hungry for an archetype for gunslinger or rogue (although he seems interested in running a pure gunslinger) that combines mastery with firearms with the diplomatic and negotiation skills he seeks.

I think right now he's looking at Mysterious Stranger, but I thought I'd come to you all to see if perhaps there is an archetype tucked away in some campaign adventure path or obscure sourcebook I've overlooked, or perhaps challenge your brilliant minds to help me come up with a homebrew archetype that would fit the bill. I'm happy to provide any additional information. Thanks for any help in advance!

He sounds kinda like a Gunslinging Bard. Maybe look at that class, pick and choose what you like about it, then blend it with Gunslinger for the archetype you're looking for?

Sounds like a basic rogue to me. Maybe multiclass with gunslinger or just take the Amateur Gunslinger feat.
