Weapon damage on small and medium weapons.

Pathfinder First Edition General Discussion

It seems to me that weapons like muskets and great swords should either do 1d8 when small or 2d8 when medium, for the game to follow the rules there seem to be for scaling damage dice to size.
Am i rigth? And if yes do we know why they do not?

No, it goes 2d6 when large (longsword).
1d10 becomes 2d8 (bastardsword)

Muskets: they should be 2d10 when large.

But it seems they give a discount on when shrinking.

I am not talking about medium to large. And i am unsure to what you say no to.

Am i really the only one, currently pedantic enough, to wonder about this?

The greataxe (from CRB) is 1d10 when small and 1d12 when medium. So are the lucerne hammer (APG), flying blade (UC), and dwarven longaxe (ARG). So it isn't like the musket is unique in using a d12.
