Eidolon's weak point -- low save?

Advice

I'm building my first summoner for a 12th level campaign (actually for my daughter, I'm the GM) and the weak save (will in this case) is a very low +3. At this level I can't see it passing any saves against the foes' attacks except on a natural 20. Is there some ability I'm overlooking that makes this less, or would the simplest thing to do against an eidolon simply cast 'hold monster' or something else that targets a low save?

That can't be right. I don't know how, but that cannot be right.

Well, there's always Iron Will. A Wisdom Enhancing Ioun Stone is also a possibility. Those combined will give it a +6, which isn't as bad. Jacking it's Wisdom with Evolutions is also an option, and could give it +3 more in theory.

Slotted items like a Cloak of Resistance are also possible, but leave the Summoner without.

It also gets Devotion, which gives it an additional +4 vs. all Enchantment spells and abilities.

For a 12th level summoner its eidolon's bad save is +3 and it's good saves are +6. Are you forgetting to add appropriate ability modifiers? What about a cloak of resistance?*

*I'm not sure if eidolons can wear these, and yes it would detract from the available wealth the character had to outfit themselves with.

Also, for comparison regular 12th level characters haves good saves of +8 and bad saves of +4, so the eidolon isn't too far behind.

Eidolons have base Wisdom 10, and share Item Slots with the Summoner, so only one of them gets the Cloak.

Yeah that's rough. One of them is going to have bad saves. Of course, that's sort of the price you pay for getting a super-powered kill-bot.

Eh, like I said above, you can get +6 easily and +9 with effort even sans Cloak. That's low-ish for that level, but not a lot worse than the party Fighter is likely to have, and they have Devotion on top of it.

Yes, their saves are a glaring weak point. The Biped eidolon has good will at least, and devotion per above. One of my eidolons biggest challenges was an illusionary wall. He couldnt disbelieve to get through.
