We are about to apply the rule "Wounds & Vigor" from the Complete Combat book.
There's a discussion in our group about the how to apply the Criticals on this system.
The rules say
"Critical Hits: When a creature is subject to a critical
hit, the critical hit deals the damage normally, reducing
vigor points first, and then reducing wound points when
vigor points are gone. It also deals an amount of wound
point damage equal to its critical multiplier"
Does that mean that when a Critical hit is confirmed by the attacker the damage dealt is calculated as in is the regular Hit Point System? That would be multiplying the Damage dealt by the Weapon Multiplier.. right?
- In my group some say that in a critical hit (on the Wounds & Vigor system) a confirmed Critical is the same as a normal hit (no Critical) but ALSO dealing a damage to Wounds Points equal to the Weapon multiplier.
- I say that in the case of a confirmed critical hit, the damage is calculated multiplying the damage dealt by the weapons multiplyier (as in the regular hit point system) affecting first Vigor and then Wound points, and ALSO dealing a damage to Wound Points equal to the Weapon Multiplier.
Thank you Very much for your time and clarification!!! Rgds!
